The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Soldiers Group

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, fresh DM the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a colorful mix of personalities, and a gripping narrative including divine entities, fiends, and sinister influences growing in strength within the city.

Note: Revealing details for Episode 3 of the new season lie ahead.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

Episode 3 ended with a major cliffhanger and revealed the first table of adventurers who will split off from the primary party to begin their own adventure, apart from the remaining groups.

This warrior group includes Teor (brought to life by Travis), the agile character (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

Dividing the Cast

Given an extensive roster, it was clear from the outset that keeping everyone at a single group would be impossible.

That’s why, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, connecting the characters’ stories before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Schemers, and Questers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

Per the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for players who enjoy a typically action-packed fight-heavy narrative style where peaceful solutions are rare.

Upon first impression, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might look out of place, but the events of episode 3 make it clear why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the group has a clear idea where to go next after a violent opening clash with the antagonists.

A former ally of Thjazi—whose death started the campaign’s events—used The Crow Keepers for his own means, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the rogue, and taking all the magical artifacts to sell off.

The antagonist then settled his obligations and escaped to a fortified location in the remote area, north of the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each member has a individual motive to depart the urban setting:

  • The rogue, as the companion and best friend, desires vengeance.
  • The adventurer has experience in the northern area and advises that it is a hostile location.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having resisted his family’s wishes to execute the target and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • But, their reputation as prominent individuals in House Halovar could enable the team access places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, The fighter pledged a life debt to The cleric for his rescue and will now accompany him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are wanted by the powers that rule the setting for a range of causes, making lingering locally too risky:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are known criminals.
  • The strong figure and The healer defied House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
  • The target is marked for death by House Halovar.

This means them no alternative but to journey toward the northern region in search of the antagonist.

Future Episodes

From episode three’s Cooldown, we discover that the warrior group will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight cast members to round up the Explorers and Planners parties.

Fans can expect finding out which characters will be in which group in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on next week.
