In a bizarre partnership that breaks conventional expectations, the game developer has revealed an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Disclosed

According to the authorized release, "A mysterious confrontation draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The plot presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine group.

The adventure concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Metamorphoses

The preview showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Extra Material

Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an unique katana alongside several artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Third Free Story Addition

This update also adds the game's third free story content, titled "The Enigma." True to its name, "The Mystery" also features a fresh environmental puzzle that may finally shed light on some lingering questions from the main storyline.
